Cybersecurity Consultant – Experienced Position

About Us

Red Button, a cybersecurity consulting company, is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to join our professional services team.

We are looking for a highly technical cybersecurity professional with strong networking and security knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work independently with customers and lead them toward improved cyber resilience.

The role combines deep technical work with customer-facing consulting, project ownership, analysis, recommendations, and implementation support. No software development is required. Specialized training in our DDoS and WAAP methodologies and platforms will be provided.

 

About the Role

The Cybersecurity Consultant will own and deliver professional cybersecurity services to our customers, with a focus on DDoS readiness, WAAP, network security and resilience.

 

The role includes

  • Planning and executing DDoS simulations and security assessments.
  • Analyzing customer environments, vulnerabilities and protection capabilities.
  • Providing technical recommendations and supporting customers in their implementation.
  • Conducting resilience and security audits.
  • Developing security procedures, reports and professional documentation.
  • Training customer teams and providing professional guidance.
  • Working directly with technical teams, security teams and customer stakeholders.
  • Managing professional engagements independently, from preparation through execution and follow-up.
  • Continuously developing expertise in evolving attack methods, network infrastructures and cybersecurity protection platforms.
  • Supporting customers during security incidents when required.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, networking, professional services or a similar technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S and routing.
  • Practical experience with network and/or cybersecurity technologies.
  • Experience working with security solutions such as WAF, CDN, firewalls, DDoS protection or similar technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical environments and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of customer-facing technical projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead professional discussions with customers.
  • Excellent English – written and spoken.
  • Proactive, responsible and highly self-motivated.
  • Available to work occasional nights and weekends for scheduled DDoS simulations and IR emergencies. This is not a 24/7 shift position.

 

Strong Advantage

  • Experience in Professional Services, Network Security, SOC, Penetration Testing, Security Engineering or Information Security consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with BGP routing, WAF, CDN and DDoS mitigation technologies.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
  • Experience writing technical reports, assessments and recommendations.
  • Scripting capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
